5 Most Common And Important Characteristics Of Successful Entrepreneurs

For our first article in the ‘Boss 5‘ series, we felt it imperative to list the top 5 (get it?) characteristics that we’ve encountered among knowledgable entrepreneurs. These 5 Most Common And Important Characteristics Of Successful Entrepreneurs should be seen as the necessary building blocks for accomplishing goals.

Passion.

The most welcomed and repetitive characteristic encountered here at BossStart comes in the form of Passion. Whether you are a new or a seasoned entrepreneur, passion is a vital part in achieving success as an entrepreneur. After all, if you are passionate about your business, then work will not seem as if you are actually doing work.

Risk Taker.

Don’t be afraid to take risks. Do you think Steve Jobs would have built Apple to what it is today if he was afraid to leave Microsoft. Failure helps us learn what works and what does not. Take the Leap!

Innovation.

Make sure you are bringing creativity to your business. Be innovative. Don’t just run the same pizza shop ‘Joe’ is running. Bring VALUE to your business and the word will spread quickly. Try to offer something that no one else in your market does or has. If you can’t, find ways to add something different or to tweak it.

Perseverance.

Always continue to push through your objectives. Never give up on your task until it is completed. If you are struggling with a prospective relationship, or finding difficulty in shipping out product; do some research, there is a way to do things better. Reach out to a friend or a mentor and find a solution. Continue growing as an individual and as an entrepreneur. When you feel stagnant, try getting more involved with social networking or reading a new relevant magazine or book. Bottom line: Keep at ‘IT’.

Positivity.

Be positive everyday. Find a quote or tip of the day and live it. Don’t let negativity affect your attitude or your business. There will always be a negative force trying to make its way into your business – be it an employee, customer service issue, or any other thing. Remain POSITIVE and your attitude will carry you through.

If you feel as though you’re lacking in a few of these areas, now is a better time than any to take steps towards self-improvement. Feel free to take a look in our ‘Resources’ category or check out these previous (and pertinent!) articles:
